Henderson constable’s spending ignites calls for closer scrutiny

Attorney Craig W. Drummond was quoted in a recent article by  in the 

Mitchell has held the office since 1995, and hours before the story was set to be published, he dropped his re-election bid. The article shows Mitchell wrote $72,000 in checks from county accounts, withdrew roughly $9,000 from banks and ATMs, pulled out money at bars and casinos, and spent thousands more on meals and trips to see his family.
