Las Vegas Personal Injury Attorney

From Defending Snipers in Iraq to Fighting for Everyday People in Las Vegas

Call the Captain® — A Combat Veteran Fighting for You

Service has always been at the core of who I am—fighting for others and standing up for what’s right.

After earning my law degree and officer commission, I first served as a Federal Military Prosecutor and later deployed to Iraq to defend U.S. servicemembers. In 2007 I traveled to more than15 operating bases in Iraq by helicopter, fixed wing aircraft and convoys, including being assigned a case that took place in the most dangerous area of Iraq called the Triangle of Death. The motto of the U.S. Army Trial Defense Service is, “Defending those who defend America” and I was proud to serve in that capacity.

Today I bring that same discipline, professionalism and precision-focus to representing the injured. When you Call the Captain®, you get a lawyer and bulldog team who are prepared to fight for your case.

The Case That Changed Everything

In 2007, I was assigned to defend a sniper accused of murder. What started as a routine case exploded onto the front page of the Washington Post when allegations of ‘baiting’—dropping weapons and shooting anyone who picked them up—surfaced.

Suddenly, the New York Times and Washington Post were calling my office in Iraq. My commanders allowed me to give a press conference—almost unheard of for a uniformed military attorney.

The courtroom was filled with embedded reporters. The trial had to pause when our base took incoming mortar attacks. Then we’d resume an hour later like nothing happened.

My client, Specialist Sandoval, was acquitted of both murders. The experience taught me that even in the most intense pressure, preparation and principle win.

Three Things the Military Taught Me About Fighting for Clients:

Prepare Like You're Going to Trial Every Time

In Iraq, there were no deals to be made with enemy fire. Every case was prepared for the absolute worst-case scenario. I bring that same intensity to every personal injury case—insurance companies know we're not bluffing.

Never Take More Than Your Client Receives

The Reduced Fee Guarantee® isn't just marketing. It's a legally binding commitment. I saw too many soldiers taken advantage of by unscrupulous people. That won't happen on my watch.

Find What
Others Miss

Defense work in a combat zone teaches you to examine every detail. That mentality recently helped us find a single discrepancy in a rental car contract that turned a modest case into a life-changing settlement.
