Henderson Brain Injury Lawyer

A traumatic brain injury can change the course of your life in an instant. Whether you were involved in a car crash on I-215, struck by falling equipment at a construction site, or slipped and hit your head in a casino, the result can be serious damage to the most vital organ in your body. Even a so-called mild brain injury like a concussion can lead to long-term symptoms such as memory loss, mood changes, and cognitive difficulties.
In Nevada, individuals who suffer brain trauma due to someone else’s negligence have the right to seek compensation through a civil claim. Medical treatment, lost wages, and long-term care costs can be overwhelming. That is why early legal intervention is critical. At Drummond Law Firm, we help victims and families build strong brain injury claims with the guidance of a personal injury lawyer henderson experienced in handling complex, high-severity injury cases.

Strategic Legal Advocacy for Life-Changing Brain Injuries

Not all personal injury cases require the same level of focus. Brain injury claims involve advanced medical evidence, expert collaboration, and a deep understanding of how trauma impacts daily life. Our firm is built to meet those demands with strategic preparation from the very first consultation.

Led by a Military-Trained Trial Attorney

Attorney Craig W. Drummond brings the leadership and discipline of his military background into every case. As a former U.S. Army Captain and Judge Advocate General (JAG) attorney, he understands how to operate in high-stakes situations. His approach is methodical and precise, especially when presenting complex brain injury evidence in court.

A Proven Record in Serious Injury Litigation

Our firm does not process high volumes of small claims. We focus on serious injury cases where the outcome matters most. Brain injuries often require significant settlement negotiations or trial presentations to reflect the true cost of lifelong care. This includes cases involving high-impact crashes where victims may initially seek help from a car accident lawyer Henderson residents trust, only to later discover the full extent of a traumatic brain injury.

Reduced Fee Guarantee for Fair Pre-Suit Recovery

One of the biggest concerns for injury victims is how much of their settlement will actually end up in their hands. With our Reduced Fee Guarantee®, you will never receive less than the firm in a pre-litigation settlement. That promise ensures fairness and helps you recover what you need to move forward.

Direct Communication Throughout the Case

When you call our office, you speak directly with an attorney, not a call center or case manager. We believe that if your injury is serious, your legal support should be just as committed. Our team is available 24/7 to answer questions, explain your rights, and help guide you through every legal decision you face.

Types of Brain Injuries We Handle

Brain trauma can present in many different forms, each with its own challenges. Some injuries are visible on imaging scans, while others are diagnosed through symptoms and expert evaluations. We work closely with neurologists, neuropsychologists, and life care planners to understand your diagnosis and how it may affect your long-term future.

Concussions and Mild TBIs

A concussion may not sound severe, but its effects can be long-lasting. Clients with mild TBIs often experience brain fog, sensitivity to light and sound, dizziness, or mood swings. Some struggle with focus, memory, and sleep patterns for weeks or months. These symptoms can disrupt your ability to work or engage with your family.

Moderate to Severe Brain Injuries

In cases involving loss of consciousness, brain bleeding, or significant swelling, the damage can be life-altering. Severe TBIs may result in permanent cognitive impairment, speech difficulties, or behavioral changes. These injuries often require ongoing occupational or physical therapy and significant lifestyle changes.

Closed Head Injuries

Closed head injuries occur when the brain is injured without a skull fracture or open wound. Blunt force trauma, such as hitting your head against a steering wheel or floor, can cause internal bruising or bleeding. These injuries may not be visible right away but can worsen over time if not diagnosed and treated early.

Penetrating Brain Injuries

Some injuries involve foreign objects entering the skull. These are common in violent assaults, serious falls, or construction accidents. The results can include severe tissue damage, high infection risk, and permanent disability. Surgical treatment and long-term monitoring are often required.

Diffuse Axonal Injury and Brain Bleeds

This type of injury occurs when the brain is rapidly shaken, causing widespread damage to nerve fibers. Diffuse axonal injury is most commonly seen in rollover crashes, motorcycle wrecks, or falls from heights. Many victims lose consciousness for extended periods. Brain bleeds such as hematomas may require emergency surgery and carry a high risk of long-term impairment.

Common Causes of Brain Injuries in Henderson

Understanding how your brain injury occurred is the first step in building a claim. Our legal team investigates every case to determine how negligence played a role and what evidence supports your right to compensation. Many brain injuries in Henderson are linked to preventable incidents in high-traffic or poorly maintained areas.

Motor Vehicle Accidents (Car, Truck, Motorcycle)

Traffic collisions remain one of the most common causes of TBIs. The force of a crash can cause the brain to collide with the inside of the skull, even if you do not hit your head on a surface. Airbags, seatbelts, and helmets may reduce the risk, but many victims still suffer lasting brain trauma.

Falls in Hotels, Casinos, or Retail Spaces

Falls in public places are often caused by slick surfaces, poor lighting, or uneven flooring. A sudden fall on tile or concrete can lead to direct impact with the head. Elderly individuals, children, and guests unfamiliar with the property are especially vulnerable to these accidents.

Workplace Accidents and Construction Falls

Worksites are filled with hazards, from heavy machinery to elevated platforms. A fall from scaffolding or a blow to the head from equipment can cause catastrophic brain injuries. These cases often involve employer negligence, subcontractor responsibility, or equipment defects.

Assaults or Negligent Security Incidents

Violent acts can result in head trauma, especially when property owners fail to provide adequate security. Whether the incident occurs in a hotel parking lot or an apartment stairwell, you may be entitled to hold the property owner accountable for allowing unsafe conditions.

Sports or Recreation-Related Head Injuries

Amateur sports injuries, gym accidents, or recreational mishaps can all lead to brain trauma, particularly if staff failed to supervise properly or safety gear was missing. These incidents are often linked to poor training, inadequate policies, or defective equipment.

When the stakes are high, you need an attorney who’s already been tested under pressure.

Symptoms and Long-Term Impact of TBIs

A traumatic brain injury can affect nearly every area of your life. Some symptoms are immediate and obvious, while others emerge slowly over time. Documenting these symptoms is a critical part of both recovery and legal strategy. Medical professionals may diagnose a brain injury, but it is your day-to-day experience that reveals how serious the impact truly is.

Memory Loss and Cognitive Impairment

Many brain injury victims experience difficulty recalling information, concentrating, or processing new tasks. These symptoms interfere with basic responsibilities at home and work. Even mild memory issues can disrupt professional performance or family life in lasting ways.

Chronic Headaches and Fatigue

Head pain is one of the most common and persistent symptoms of a brain injury. It often limits sleep, concentration, and daily function. Chronic fatigue can become so severe that victims must reduce their work hours or stop working altogether.

Mood Disorders and Personality Changes

Brain trauma may affect emotional regulation and behavior. Clients often report irritability, anxiety, depression, or loss of interest in activities they once enjoyed. In some cases, personality shifts become permanent, creating tension in personal and professional relationships.

Loss of Motor Function or Balance

Injuries affecting the brain stem or cerebellum may impair physical coordination. This can lead to frequent falls, difficulty walking, or problems with fine motor skills like writing or using a computer. Physical therapy may be required long-term.

Need for Long-Term Rehabilitation or Support

Severe cases may require months or years of rehabilitative care. Victims might need occupational therapy, speech therapy, or in-home support. Life care planning becomes essential when full independence is no longer possible.

Why Brain Injury Claims Require Specialized Legal Strategy

Brain injury cases are among the most complex personal injury claims. Symptoms are often difficult to measure, and insurance companies may argue that they are exaggerated or unrelated to the accident. Without skilled legal representation, these cases risk being undervalued.
To succeed in these cases, you must present detailed medical records and credible expert opinions. Our team works with neurologists, neuropsychologists, and vocational rehabilitation experts to fully document the impact of your brain injury. These professionals explain how your diagnosis affects your ability to work, drive, care for yourself, or engage with your family.
Drummond Law Firm approaches every TBI case with courtroom-level preparation from day one. This means gathering diagnostic imaging, symptom timelines, witness accounts, and treatment records early in the process. We do not wait for the insurance company to ask—we build a complete case file in advance so we can negotiate with strength or proceed to trial if needed.
When your brain injury affects your future earning capacity or daily life, we make sure your claim reflects that reality. Pain, emotional trauma, and reduced quality of life deserve full consideration in any legal outcome. We are committed to helping you recover what you have lost and prepare for what comes next.

What to Do After a Head Injury in Henderson

What you do in the hours and days after a head injury can have a lasting impact on both your health and your legal rights. Taking the right steps early can ensure that your injury is properly diagnosed and that evidence is preserved for your claim.

Seek Emergency Medical Attention Immediately

Even if you feel stable, you should never ignore a blow to the head. Some injuries do not present symptoms right away but can worsen quickly without medical care. Go to the emergency room or urgent care and explain how the injury occurred.

Request Imaging (CT Scan, MRI) to Document the Injury

Ask for brain imaging if you have symptoms like confusion, dizziness, or memory loss. A CT scan or MRI can detect internal bleeding, swelling, or structural damage. These scans provide key evidence that connects your injury to the incident.

Follow Up With Neurological Specialists

Emergency doctors may treat the immediate symptoms but will refer you to a neurologist for further evaluation. Following up with a specialist helps establish the long-term nature of your injury. Ongoing treatment records support your legal case.

Document Symptoms and Functional Changes Over Time

Keep a journal or daily log of your symptoms. Include changes in mood, energy, cognition, or sleep. You may also note how the injury affects your work, relationships, or ability to drive. These personal observations are important evidence.

Compensation Available in a Brain Injury Claim

The effects of a brain injury reach far beyond initial medical treatment. Nevada law allows you to pursue compensation for both economic and non-economic damages when another party is responsible for your injury.

  • Medical treatment, therapy, and ongoing care: This includes emergency room visits, specialist appointments, diagnostic scans, surgery, and long-term therapy.
  • Lost wages and reduced future earning capacity: If your brain injury prevents you from returning to work or limits your ability to earn a living, we calculate these losses and present them as part of your claim.
  • Pain and suffering, emotional trauma: These damages reflect the personal and psychological toll of your injury. This includes loss of enjoyment of life, difficulty with daily tasks, or personality changes.
  • Disability, reduced quality of life, and cognitive decline: In moderate or severe TBI cases, you may need assistance with daily activities, transportation, or basic self-care. These realities must be factored into any settlement or verdict.
  • Home modifications and assistive care: If you require structural changes to your home or in-home support, we work with life care planners to document those needs.

Craig Drummond is outstanding!! He was SO thoroughly prepared & effective that the opposing lawyer actually threatened to SUE THEIR OWN CLIENT if a settlement wasn’t reached soon. He controlled the case completely, stayed calm under pressure, answered any & every question I had (I’m very analytical). Craig delivered excellent results even beyond what I thought was “best case”. He hit a HOME RUN! Highly recommend!!!

This firm, the staff and Craig Drummond are amazing! They are efficient, pleasant, professional and highly responsive. I worked in the legal field during my career span and truly appreciate the knowledge of Mr. Drummond. I recently was assisting a family member with some legal concerns and reached out to Mr. Drummond and Ximena for guidance. Although he does not practice in this area, he got back to me the very next morning - less than 10 hours later after emailing him at 10pm. He gave very sound and detailed advice and guidance. He also was kind enough to offer referrals to trusted attorneys in the field. I truly am grateful that I have had the opportunity to meet and deal with Craig Drummond, Esq. and consider myself so fortunate. Aloha, B.J. Souza

Craig Drummond and all of his staff are fantastic people to work with. I was involved in an accident where I was rear-ended by someone in a company vehicle that resulted in a traumatic brain injury. The personal attention that I received and the recommended Medical treatment was invaluable to me. My vehicle was totaled as I was pushed into the SUV in front of me. My award from the judge was in the seven figures. I highly recommend his law firm for any type of injury case somebody might have
